A financial journalist with almost 14 years experience, Abhijit is a commerce graduate from St. Xavier’s College, Calcutta and has trained in finance. A post graduate in mass communications, he has been in Television for the major part of his career and has worked with all the major media platforms in the country including NDTV, CNBC TV 18 and now Bloomberg. He has also had a short but interesting stint at global financial wire Reuters. Throughout his career, Abhijit has covered and has specialized in economic policy spanning policy making in several key economic ministries in the Indian political capital. A veteran of 13 budgets and about 25 sessions of Parliament coverage, Abhijit has over the years expanded his role and delved into the interplay of public policy with the markets, especially fixed income as also corporates. He has also covered various seminal international events including the 2005 WTO meet in Hong Kong and the Paris and the Cannes G20s in France in 2011 and is the recipient of several international journalism awards. Currently, he is the Deputy Executive Editor and heads the Delhi News Operations for Bloomberg TV in India.
