Mr. Abdul Matlub Ahmad is a leading business personality, an industrialist and an enterpreneur with a vision of development in Bangladesh. He is the Chairman of Nitol-Niloy Group of Companies, one of the prime conglomerates of the country. He established the flagship company Nitol Motors Ltd. Which is the main driving force of the group. Matlub Ahmad is the President of India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industries Vice President (Founder President) of Bangladesh Automobiles Assembles & Manufactures Association. He is the past President of Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce & Industries, ex-Director of Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industries. He is concerned about the world environment situation and actively working to keep Bangladesh environment congenial for the future generation. He is also giving priority to develop alternative energy sources from Gashol and use of nature gas in Bangladesh. A keen sportsman, his contribution for development of games & sports in Bangladesh is commendable. Born in Dhaka in 1952, Mr. Matlub Ahmad graduated with a B.A. (Hons.) and M.A. in Economics from Oxford. He is married to Mrs. Selima Ahmad and is blessed with two sons, Abdul Mussabbir Ahmad (Nitol) and Marib Ahmad (Niloy).
