Anand is a proven entrepreneur and product / business leader delivering products and revenue in mobile, search, content and big data. He is Chief Product Officer @ Bharti Airtel, the #3 in-country mobile operator globally with over 210 million subscribers and $14+ billion in revenue, driving Wynk Music, APIs, Airtel Money etc. and leading the $1 billion+ online commerce business. Previously Anand was with Yahoo, where he held roles of Sr. Director of Search Products and member of search leadership as well as Sr. Director for Mobile.Prior to Yahoo, Anand was Director of Product at Openwave driving product management for the mobile mediation gateway which touched 200M subscribers (through 70 operators) and generated $150M revenue. Previously, he co-founded Aeroprise Inc. Under Anand’s leadership, Aeroprise became the most-deployed solution worldwide for mobile service management, raised $7M in funding and was acquired by BMC Software.Anand holds a M.S. in Electrical Engg. from Stanford University, and a B.S. in Communications Engg. from PSG College of Technology (India). In 2010, he was named by World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader, a community of outstanding leaders committed to impacting the future. Anand served as Venture Advisor at Storm Ventures, a $500M VC firm and has been an board member in startups and non-profits.
