Dr. Ashok Sekhar Ganguly, Ph.D., serves as the Head of Technology Network India Pvt Ltd. Dr. Ganguly served as Worldwide Head of R & D for Unilever. He served as the Chairman of the Board at Firstsource Solutions Limited (previously, ICICI Onesource Limited.) and ABP Pvt Ltd. (Also known as Ananda Bazar Patrika Group). Dr. Ganguly served as the Chairman of Akzo Nobel India Limited (a/k/a ICI India Ltd.) from August 1996 to April 1, 2003 and served as its Non Executive Director until April 1, 2003. From June 1980 to May 1990, he served as the Chairman of Hindustan Lever Limited. Dr. Ganguly served as the Chairman of ICICI West Bengal Infrastructure Development Corporation and Technology Network (India) Private Limited. He has been an Independent Director at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. since October 23, 2009. Dr. Ganguly has been a Director of Reserve Bank of India since November 2000 and Hemogenomics Pvt Ltd., since November 2002. He has been a Director of Wipro Ltd., since January 1999. Dr. Ganguly serves as a Non-Executive Director of ICICI Knowledge Park, and Tata AIG Life Insurance Co Ltd. He has been an Independent Director of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. since 1997. He serves as a Director of IKP Knowledge Park, and Sedgwick Parekh Health Management Private Limited. He serves as a Member of the Scientific Advisory Board of Sciformix Corporation. Dr. Ganguly serves as a Member of International Advisory Board at The Blackstone Group. He served as a Director of SES, Société anonyme since June 28, 2007. He served as Director of Firstsource Solutions Limited until July 2010. He served as a Director of SES NEW SKIES (previously, New Skies Satellites Holdings Ltd.) since May 2005. He served as an Independent Non-executive Director of British Airways PLC from 1996 to July 2005. He served as a Director of SES ASTRA S.A. Dr. Ganguly served as a Director of ICICI Bank Ltd. (alternatively, ICICI Ltd.) since May 6, 1997 and SES, S.A. since June 28, 2007. From May 1990 to May 1997, he served as Director of Unilever NV and Plc. He served as Worldwide Director of R&D. He served as a Member of Supervisory Board of New Skies Satellites N.V. from May 2002 to 2006. He served as Member of Scientific Advisory Board of Biocon Limited. Dr. Ganguly has served several public bodies including as a Member of the Science Advisory Council to the Prime Minister of India from 1985 to 1989 and the UK Advisory Board of Research Councils and was India’s Businessman of the Year in 1986. In May 1991, Dr. Ganguly was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and in 1995, he was awarded an Honorary Fellowship in the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research. In 1987, the President of India conferred upon him the Padma Bhushan, one of the Nation’s highest honors, for his contribution to public service. Dr. Ganguly has been appointed as a Member of India’s Prime Minister’s Council for Trade and Industry as well as India’s Foreign Investment Commission. Dr. Ganguly holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry from Bombay University and an M.Sc and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois.
